After she was abandoned by her owners following a visit to the vet, a paralyzed 10-year-old Pit Bull named Lucy has defied the odds and left doctors floored by her amazing recovery.
When Lucy came in she was paralyzed from the waist down and unable to use her back legs. Staffers at the vet's office had a sneaking suspicion that Lucy might have been dumped because of the potential cost of an operation to help ease her paralysis.
She underwent surgery and although doctors were unsure if she was ever going to fully walk again, Lucy defied the odds and surprised everyone.
After hearing about Lucy, the wonderful people over at Animal Haven in New York City, agreed to take her in and help get her adopted. The wonderful staff at Animal Haven captured Lucy's amazing recovery in the video below which is sure to make your draw drop.
