Drop Everything And Get Your Pet A Doggie Birthday Cake — She Deserves It

Have you ever thought of getting your dog a birthday cake?

Photographer Rachel Taylor of Daylight Fading Photography did just that when her precious "Maggie" Magnolia Mae Blossom turned ten years old.

Rachel and her husband had always wanted to rescue a Basset Hound ever since they started dating. It took a few years to find the perfect fit, but meeting Maggie was love at first sight.

Basset Hounds may have a sad look on their faces, but they are full of love and spunk. Don't let those droopy eyes and ears fool you!

For the big day, Rachel and her husband knew they had to do something extra special for her fur baby.

Rachel told LittleThings that "we've always said she has the personality of a classy Southern lady, and with a name like Magnolia, we knew we had to give her a classy 10th birthday celebration! Even though she is loved every day, we had a great time spoiling her with her very own birthday cake, and the photos will always make us smile!"

These photos certainly made me smile! Please SHARE this adorable pet-safe cake smash with your family and friends on Facebook!

The lovely paper magnolias were made special for the photoshoot.

The cake (made just for dogs) came from BARKery in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Maggie wasn't afraid to get her ears dirty.

No need for manners at her own birthday!

When she got too full, she set the rest aside for her dog brothers and sisters.

There was still time for one last pose, though!
