Bravery prompts us to do things that others won't. Whether it's facing the bad guy, speaking up, or scaling down a tight, dark sewer for the sake of a small dog, bravery comes in many shapes and forms.
There was an uncovered sewer in a city center. Unfortunately, a small black puppy found his way down into it. The poor little guy was trapped, wet, and scared.
People soon began to take notice. They realized that there was a tiny dog floating feet below them, unable to make his way back to the street. In times like these, we need a Good Samaritan, and in this case, one who wasn't afraid to get a little dirty.
A courageous man lowered himself into the narrow sewer, a situation that would give claustrophobia sufferers nightmares.
In the video posted on October 13th, 2015, he wriggled himself down alongside the gray bricks, trying his best to reach the dog without frightening him even more.
He was given a rope to work with so he could tie up the puppy and have him pulled up to the street.
At one point, the man lowered himself into the rippling sewer water, almost disappearing into the darkness of the precarious space.
All that was left was the rope swaying in the water.
Suddenly, the little black dog emerged from the water in the man's hands. He grabbed the rope and tied it around the scared dog's body. Once everything was set, someone on the street pulled the rope up, freeing the puppy from his chilling ordeal.
The puppy was returned to his owner and her son. She thanked him, along with everyone else on the scene.
