There's always something admirable about someone who, even in the face of a great challenge, can take joy in life and even inspire joy in others. There are countless individuals who can do this, and some of them aren't even humans.
Milo the French bulldog has a pretty great life, despite having to confront narcolepsy.
Narcolepsy is a disorder of the nervous system that causes him to suddenly lose consciousness for a brief amount of time, and makes him sleepier than the average dog during the day. It's actually not uncommon in dogs.
While the disorder isn't fatal, it's something that Milo's human has to keep an eye on to prevent any issues. But keeping an eye on Milo? That's not hard at all, considering how cute he is.
We can also learn something from Milo, as well as from all the other dogs that bravely face challenges and even help others face theirs, like the deaf dog that's helping her deaf human navigate the world.
They teach us that even though things might be tough, there's always something to be happy about, and that with enough belly rubs, you can take on pretty much anything.

Meet Milo.
Milo is a French bulldog living in Seattle with his human, as well as a ton of Facebook and Instagram followers who can't resist his charm.
Milo also has narcolepsy, a condition that causes him to lose consciousness and have excessive sleepiness. It's not an uncommon condition among dogs of all breeds.
So that means he spends a lot of time in bed, where even if he falls over, he'll be safe.
But he doesn't let it get him down.
He loves to pose for the camera.
And of course take lots of naps, which even dogs without narcolepsy are all about.
And he's just as photogenic while asleep.
And even when he's a little grumpy.
But normally, he's in a pretty good mood.
And his humans don't mind giving him all the attention he craves.
Milo's life isn't all naps, though. Sometimes, he models accessories.
Or does a few tricks with a healthy snack.
Or goes outside for a roll in the grass and some sunshine.
