Two-Legged Dog Helps Teach Kids Valuable Life Lessons

Can a dog get too much love?

That's the one question World Animal Awareness Society wants answered in the following heart-melting video that stars one very special dog named Miss Maria. When you've been through the nightmare that this little dog has been through, the answer to their question is easy. Miss Maria can never get too much love…and this brave pooch deserves every single bit of attention that is given to her.

Just like the dogs who trying to get a new leash on life by learning to walk again in their wheelchairs, Maria has suffered a devastating spinal injury. When World Animal Awareness Society learned about the dog from the non-profit organization The Devoted Barn, she had been rescued from a bad situation where thankfully she survived having her spine crushed. Now Maria walks on only two paws, just like Duncan Lou Who, who taught himself how to never let anything slow him down. As you can see in the following video, Maria has triumphed over her tragedy and now she is used to help teach others valuable life lessons.

In this precious clip from a visit to some young students at Dixon Educational Learning Academy in Detroit, MI, Miss Maria helps teach the kids Good Pet Guardian Lesson Plans and a little bit about unconditional love in the process. If this sweet encounter doesn't bring some happiness to your heart, nothing will!
