Even though adoption is (thankfully) becoming a more and more popular trend among pet owners, there are still plenty of people who still prefer to buy their dogs from reputable breeders. But those hoping to show their dogs or even just looking to fulfill a dream of owning a pup belonging to a specific breed should know that they're probably going to be paying a lot more to bring their new best friend home.
We've shown you some pretty interesting dog breeds before, like these strange-looking pups that no longer even exist. Many modern breeds also have some very distinctive characteristics, and that uniqueness is a large part of what drives the demand for these special dogs. And it's really no surprise that plenty of larger breeds, such as these absolutely massive pups, are quite a bit more expensive then some of their smaller counterparts. But even so, the price of some pooches is enough to cause anyone's jaw to hit the floor.
Do you think there's any puppy out there that's worth thousands of dollars? Plenty of breeders seem to think so. Check out these ultra-pricey pups, and let us know which one is your favorite! I adore number 12, but I don't think I'd ever be able to afford one.
Make sure you SHARE these expensive dog breeds with everyone you know!

Bulldogs have a ton of personality, so maybe that's why they're the 4th most popular dog breed in the United States.
