For Nathan Beck, the hardest part about leaving home was having to say goodbye to his best friend.
Even though it wasn't forever, I'm sure it felt like it. Nathan left home two years ago for a Mormon missionary trip in Samara, Russia. While the missionary trip was probably the experience of a lifetime, it's never easy being so far from your loved ones. And, of course, it goes both ways.
According to Nathan's father, his beagle-coonhound, Bailey, looked for Nathan in his room the entire time he was gone. The poor pup probably thought he would never see his owner again, until one day there was a knock on the door.
It's amazing that Bailey was still able to immediately recognize Nathan after so much time. His reaction completely blew me away, and I guarantee it'll warm you right up.
