Every dog I've ever known really loves to swim. The minute they're near any body of water, they're eager to leap right in at any cost. It doesn't matter if it's a pristine pool, a muddy puddle after a rainstorm, a crystal clear saltwater ocean, or a lake full of algae, canines just can't resist a summer swim.
Who can blame them? It's so refreshing to dive into cool water on a hot summer day, and to splash around with friends or float with an ice-cold lemonade in hand, soaking in the sun.
However, have you ever known anyone who doesn't want to get their hair wet when swimming? They'll do everything they can to keep their precious locks away from the moisture.
This pup seems to be one of those types… although he's not really doing a wonderful job of keeping dry.
When his owner tosses a tennis ball right in the middle of the pool, this pooch knows that he has to get it, but he doesn't exactly want to go for a full dip right now.
So, he does what any pool-averse dog would do, and leaps right onto the paddleboard floating near the lip of the pool.
As soon as he's in, he drifts in the opposite direction of the ball. What he does next, though, all while staying afloat on his vessel? This is really impressive.
