Sisterhood is a pretty profound relationship. Having a sister of my own, I know what it’s like. We just get and know one another. For instance, she knows that I will immediately start crying at the very beginning of any Pixar movie, and I get why she feels the need to endlessly make fun of me for it throughout the entire movie. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. There is something powerful and unspoken about the bond between sisters. The relationship can give you strength when you’re at your lowest, and nothing is mightier than undying support. I feel like the bond of sisterhood is so intense, that it can go beyond just human emotions, and that other intelligent animals like elephants, dolphins, and dogs can share the same feelings. In fact, two sister pit bulls who were thrown into a shelter together seem to prove this very point. The two dogs were scared, alone, and unwanted. But their love for one another caused them to do something very special and now it’s going viral…
The blue and white Pit-bull-terrier-mix sisters were left at the San Bernardino City Animal Control shelter on July 10, 2015.

There is a stigma against pit bulls, but most who have encountered the breed know that their aggressive reputation is a complete fallacy.

The breed is actually quite affectionate.

Not to mention, they’re also extremely smart.

One of their most adorable qualities is their unwavering loyalty.

In fact, these two sweet sisters have been supporting each other ever since they entered the shelter by hugging one another.

Staff snapped pictures of the two-year-old pups' fondness of each other, and the images have gone viral.

Because of the pictures’ popularity something amazing happened.

The sisters were adopted — together! They will be heading to their new forever home soon.

It is proof that the power of sisterhood knows no bounds.
