I've never been touched like I have from this story of a Pit Bull and his unbreakable bond with her Chihuahua "soul mate". The homeless duo was discovered near Savannah, Georgia in July 2014, when people in the neighborhood reported seeing Joanie, the Pit Bull, carrying her tiny friend, Chachi the Chihuahua inside her mouth.
When animal control officers arrived to find the best buddies, Joanie would put down Chachi from time to time to lick the Chihuahua's badly infected eye. A veterinarian removed Chachi's infected eye and the two had to be separated, so he could heal properly. They couldn't stand being away from one another, so they're allotted daily "together time." Animal Control Officer Christina Sutherin told reporters "It's not every day we get to see such devotion between two special dogs like this. They are both such sweet animals. But the relationship they share just sets them apart." I couldn't have said it better myself! What an incredible bond between two very different breeds. I'm so inspired and touched by their beautiful connection.

Police were surprised when the dogs owners' did not come forward right away...
Since posting these photos to Facebook, they are now getting flooded with requests to adopt the dogs... together, of course!

Still smiling! All that seems to make this little dog happy is his best friend.
"Neither one seems to care about another dog they are exposed to, only each other," says Sutherin. "They truly appear to be soul mates."
