This past weekend in Louisville, one very scared dog had an extremely close call.
When a maintenance worker for an apartment complex was going through the routine daily checklist of things to do, he didn't think twice when he turned on the trash compactor. But when, for some unknown reason, it didn't work properly, he had to investigate the situation.
To his complete surprise, there was a pet carrier that had been placed inside the compactor. To his complete horror, there was a terrified puppy dog inside of that carrier. With the worker's help, the pup managed to escape the terrifying ordeal with just a few scratches.
Authorities are looking for the person who did this terrible thing, since the pup clearly didn't do this on his own. If the owners are innocent, this pup can go home, but if not? This pup will surely have no trouble finding a loving forever home that will show him true love.
Maybe it was pure chance, or maybe it was divine intervention. Whatever it was, it gave this pup a second chance at a happy life.
