Dog Crosses Interstate, Leading NH Police To Owner Who Had Been Seriously Injured In Crash

A New Hampshire puppy is being hailed a hero after saving her human's life after a horrifying car crash.

Tinsley, a 1-year-old Shiloh shepherd, was in the car with 31-year-old Cameron Laundry and another male passenger when they crashed, causing the vehicle to flip over.

New Hampshire State Police responded to reports of a loose dog near the border with Vermont. When they approached Tinsley, she ran off. They followed her to a damaged section of guardrail at a nearby junction, where they found the rolled-over SUV.

Tinsley approached the crash without hesitation and sat as closely as she could to her human parent. It was at that point that police recognized she was leading them there all along.

"This was almost like a real-life Lassie situation," Lt. Daniel Baldassarre told CNN.

"It's really quite remarkable. This dog definitely saved their lives. I don't think they would have survived the night given the temperatures."
