As a parent, it's hard to explain to your kids how much of your energy can be drained in a short amount of time. On top of taking care of their needs, you have plenty of other responsibilities weighing you down and stressing you out. Sometimes it can seem endless! You love the little darlings, but there are just times when they're feeling hyper and ready to play, while you're more in the mood for a nice long nap.
This adorable new dad feels your pain. His son is still just a small puppy, but he's definitely got his hands (er, paws) full with the little cutie. While his pop lies still on the ground, the excited pup tries his hardest to get the older dog to join in a game. The only thing moving for dad? His eyes as he silently watches his son jump around him. I have a feeling the small fry wore him out the day before this and Dad just can't make up for Round 2 today! I can't tell you how many times that happened to me on my regular babysitting gigs. If only we could keep that youthful exuberance with us as we grow up! Instead, we just get more aches and pains than we thought possible.
The pup eventually finds a sock to distract himself with, but I have a feeling it won't be long until he's right back to bugging his dad. Poor guy, hopefully tomorrow is a better play day!
