Rescue Pit Bull Saves Little Boy’s Life In The Most Amazing Way

Any pit bull owner will happily tell you that the breed stigma about aggression exists because these pups are wrongly trained to behave that way, as opposed to it being the result of some inherent cruelty. Pit bulls are in fact protective and loyal dogs who — as with any dog — behave just as sweetly as they're conditioned to by loving and patient animal owners.

The Daniels family can certainly speak to this, as they've had not one, but two pit bulls in their family. Their most recent adoption, a pit bull named Ember, has taken a special interest their son Tre. But the family couldn't have ever imagined that Ember would one day be response for saving his life.

On a recent afternoon, Ember began acting strangely. She allegedly walked to the end of Tracy Daniel's bed and began making low, guttural noises indicating there was something wrong. When Tracy Daniel decided to follow Ember across the house, she found her son Tre laying halfway out of the bathtub. Tre was experiencing a seizure, and if Ember hadn't alerted Tracy to the issue, there's no telling what the outcome may have been.

Libby Power of Adore-A-Bull Rescue, the animal shelter responsible for taking Ember off the streets and matching her with her forever home with the Daniels, tells News 12 that these are the stories she hopes people hear to help place more pit bulls with loving homes. "It's a very proud moment, not only for our organization but more so for this dog that was abandoned," she says.
