Sadie was only 4 years old when she arrived at the Vet Ranch. Soon after she was taken in, it was clear that this little puppy was very sick.
In the video below, which was posted on June 30, 2016, Dr. Creary states that Sadie had contracted Parvo, a potentially fatal virus.
She says, "She has not been through her normal puppy series of vaccines and she has no immunity to it."
The flea-ridden puppy is shaking as the doctor speaks, visibly displaying her fear as well as her illness.
In addition to Parvo, they discover Sadie has severe bloody diarrhea and can't stop vomiting. She doesn't even have an appetite.
The video jumps forward to show that Sadie has begun drinking water and eating when her handlers aren't watching. Within that time, Dr. Creary also learns something devastating. She says, "We found out she has never been out of the inside of a house before. So, the world is a big, bad, scary place for her right now because she's never even been outside to go potty, never been out into the grass or the yard."
Sadie had a lot of adjusting to do, once she was ready.
The tiny dog was taken to get spayed, vaccinated, and properly groomed.
