When we find ourselves in sticky situations, we have to rely on others sometimes to help us find our way back to safety. It can be hard to admit that we can't handle a problem all on our own, but it's better for everyone to acknowledge when they're out of their depth. We, humans, aren't the only ones, either.
The distressed dog in the video below unfortunately found himself literally out of his depth when he somehow slipped into a deep canal in Trujillo, Peru. Luckily, the little guy had assistance ready to scoop him back out in the form of his community's police officers. They arrived on the scene and quickly formed a human chain in an attempt to reach the flustered hound. When that didn't work out, though, one officer took it upon himself to go the extra mile.
Stripping out of his uniform, all the way down to his undies without any shame, the man dove right into the waters to paddle his way over to the pup. Knowing he'd bring him to dry land, the pooch scurries over as quick as his tired little legs will take him. There aren't many people who would go to such lengths for man's best friend, but this guy didn't waste a moment. It's amazing to know there are such dedicated individuals out there protecting all of Earth's precious creatures!
