This War Vet Is Alive Because Of His Dog. This Will Completely Touch You.

If you've ever questioned the power of therapy animals for veterans with PTSD, the incredible story of US Marine Sgt. Jesse James will clear everything up.

While James was deployed for the first time in 2006, he was the victim of an IED explosion, although he survived and miraculously was not physically unharmed, the explosion manifested in another way. It was during this deployment that James was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and his condition only got worse from there.

When Sgt. James returned home from his final deployment life felt impossible. The veteran couldn't leave his house and could barely interact with his loved ones. The smallest things, which seemed big to him, would set James off and he decided to take a chance on a service dog.

When Jag came into his life, the duo became inseparable. James said Jag has completely changed life for him and his family. James has reduced his medication from 8 types to only 2 and he continues to see the dog as a medical benefit. James credits Jag coming into his life as his saving moment.
