Should Pit Bulls Be Outlawed? One Town Is Trying To Decide.

Aurora, Colorado is going to decide in November whether Pit Bulls will be allowed back into town. A bill banning Pit Bulls was instated in the 80s, and since then, it's been illegal to have them, even though, as this news story points out, most people don't truly know what a Pit Bull looks like in the first place!

Voters now have to chance to lift the ban, which seems like the smart thing to do. To outrightly ban a breed because of misinformation is wrong, and it should have never happened in the first place. As a lot of the people interviewed in this story point out, it's the owner, not the breed, that makes a dangerous dog.

Do you think cities / states should be able to ban an entire breed of dog? What were the facts behind the ban? How could anyone scientifically prove that Pit Bulls are more dangerous than any other breed?

Personally, I think is ban is ridiculous, and I hope the citizens of Aurora vote to lift it soon!
