Rescued Wombat Joeys Enjoy Life Despite Their Tragic Pasts

I have always appreciated the men and women who take injured animals under their wings to care for them and bring them back to their healthy selves.

I can't imagine that it's an easy job — some days, I can barely even take care of myself!

Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary in Australia dedicates much of their time caring for, nursing, and rehabilitating wombats back to health.

But it's clearly all worth it. In this next video, we see orphaned wombat joeys Warra, Abby, and Mullen, who are all recuperating at the sanctuary after undergoing traumatic incidents.

Abby, whose back is raw and wounded, was brought to the sanctuary in early July, near death after encountering an attack.

But you'd never know she was anything less than happy! She's munching away on greens with Warra and Mullen, clearly unfazed by what has happened to her in the past.

It's so heartwarming to see each of them relaxed and enjoying themselves — especially Mullen, who is ready for playtime with the sanctuary workers!

Although wombats aren't necessarily the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to rescuing animals, they still deserve just as much love and attention as any other animal!

Just like this vet who saved four baby squirrels orphans, nursing ANY animal back to health takes time, but in the end, it's totally worth it.

If you think all animals deserve to be treated with respect and unconditional love, make sure you SHARE this video!
