I don't know about you, but I am ready for winter to be over.
All the fun of the holidays came and went, and now we're stuck in the second half of the season with all the cold weather but none of the family-filled holidays to celebrate.
While some people in different parts of the country are experiencing sunshine, we on the East Coast are having erratic temperature changes — below-freezing mornings give way to hopeful high temperatures, which then turn to blizzards.
And don't even get me started on the wind. Late winter and early spring are punctuated with buffeting gusts that burst down streets so quickly they practically knock you off your feet.
In situations like this, when winter feels like it will never end, one can't help but daydream about warmer weather ahead.
Picturing all the sweltering days filled with beach visits, outside family time, and sundresses makes the frigid weather a little more bearable.
I personally can't wait for the opportunity to travel to the beach, lie in the sand, and let myself be showered with some much-needed vitamin D.

This little beachgoer is so happy to have the sunshine streaming off him — with a huge smile on his face, he flops around giddily and rolls over carefully to make sure he gets an even tan.
He also happens to be a cuddly little seal, so the cuteness factor is upped by a big margin. I definitely am happy to live vicariously through him while the cold weather continues!
