Vet’s Distraught Over Lost Dog, Then Man Interrupts Interview To Say ‘They Just Spotted Him’

The relationship between a person and their dog is one that is both parts interesting and practically incomprehensible. That companionship and friendship is intangible and practically impossible to put into words. This is especially true for Sonny Brooks, a United States Army veteran who struggles with PTSD.

PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, is a condition that many individuals have to deal with on a daily basis, and it is one Sonny knows very well.

But the battle was made easier with the help of his beloved service dog, Aquino.

After serving in the Army for eight years, Sonny got the service dog from K-9 Partners for Patriots six months ago.

The 15-month-old Australian Labrador quickly became Sonny's best friend.

"He's what I feel like I could eventually be when I heal and understand PTSD more," Sonny said in an interview with ABC Action News.

But sadly, Sonny was being interviewed because Aquino had gone missing.

Someone left the door open at the Vet Center in New Port Richey, Florida, and Aquino escaped.

Twenty-six hours passed without him, and Sonny said he hadn't cried more in his entire life.

But then, a miracle happened

In the middle of the interview, a man interrupted, saying that Aquino had been spotted!
