Stray Dog Steals Pizza Slice From Workers On Lunch Break The Leads Them To Starving Family

On April 17, 2018, a group of workers were on their lunch break in Palo Alto, California, enjoying a pepperoni pizza before having to head back to work. Out of nowhere, a scraggly stray dog came up and stole a slice for herself!

But instead of reacting with anger or indifference, the group could tell the dog was beyond hungry and malnourished… and they took action.

One of the workers placed a call to the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA to tell them about the four-legged pizza thief. The rescue staff arrived on scene and quickly found the hungry dog — and that's when she revealed the stolen pizza wasn't intended just for her.

The dog, now known as Queen Elizabeth, led the rescuers to her small nest of six tiny puppies. The litter was just days old and near starvation.
