Meet Tank. This 2-year-old dog from Des Moines just won the 36th annual Beautiful Bulldog contest Sunday at Drake University.
Tank, who likes eating snow and watching turtles, competed against 49 other bulldogs to win the tongue-in-cheek beauty pageant. As you can see from the video, Tank is loving his 15 minutes of fame.
In the video below, he sits on the throne after being crowned the winner. The pageant kicks off the Drake Relays festivities at Drake University where a bulldog is the mascot.
This bulldog has come a long way. Tank's owner, Duane Smith, found him on Craigslist a year ago. His previous owners gave him away and could no longer take care of him. But it looks like Tank is living the best life ever now with his new forever family.
"We saw an ad on Craigslist about a year ago, somebody was getting rid of him," Smith told WHOTV. "We've had him a little over a year. He's just a great dog and he gets along with everybody."
Every pet deserves a home, and it's great to see how well Tank is doing today.
