Teen Jumps Off School Bus When He Sees His House On Fire, Then Realizes His Dog Is Still Inside

Anyone who has a dog knows that the pup is like any other member of the family. You would do anything for your best friend if he or she were in any danger, much like you would be willing to put yourself in danger to save your mom, dad, son, or daughter.

That’s just what Mike Assi did when he saw his house was on fire.

The 14-year-old was on his way home on the school bus when he saw smoke pouring out of his house. He knew no one was home – but then remembered that his beloved pup was still inside.

He yelled at the driver to stop, then rushed to the front of the bus. The driver yelled back, begging him not to go inside, but Assi did anyway, running straight to the front door.

When he opened it, he was overcome with smoke, so he rushed to the back door, opened it, and called for his dog.

Luckily, the pooch managed to make his way out of the house just in time, escaping certain death.

He may have heroically saved his dog, but as he has no training and had no equipment at the time, he could have been seriously injured.
