These Dogs Have One Of The Most Dangerous, Difficult Jobs On The PLANET!

Back in the 1930's, the Swiss Army came up with the genius idea to use dogs and their amazing sense of smell to locate people who have been buried alive by avalanches. Today, rescue tactics have refined greatly, but dogs are ALWAYS included in the first rescue team. An avalanche dog's job is one of the most difficult and dangerous, but every year they save lives around the world.

Once a person or animal is covered in snow, they are invisible to the naked eye. Avalanche dogs are trained to detect the human scent under the snow. The way avalanche dogs can discover a person underground is completely mind-blowing. One dog can do more work than about 15 human searchers. This video highlights these fascinating unsung heroes.

Give a huge shout-out to these courageous and hardworking heroes! SHARE this video with other dog lovers.
