Memory, the beautiful Boston terrier, wasn't always the biggest fan of cats. In fact, she used to be afraid of them! All of that changed, however, when her owner found a group of four week-old kittens wet and starving in the woods of South Carolina. Without hesitation, Memory stepped in to act as their mother.
Where normally Memory was terrified of felines, her maternal instincts kicked in and her protective nature over her babies revealed itself. When anyone would hold the kittens, Memory would pluck them out of their hands and return "her" baby safely to her dog bed. No matter where they went, Memory was there to return them to safety.
To the family's surprise, Memory now acts as a surrogate mother for the kittens — two boys and two girls named Don Mickey, Luke, Whiskers, and Mittens, nursing them as if they were her very own puppies. Even Memory's body knew it was the right thing to do — as soon as the kittens were rescued, her body started producing milk. It really is a little miracle! Don't you agree?
