This Old Disabled Woman Needs Help…Watch Her Dog’s Reaction.

Spend a day with Gene and Gizmo, and I guarantee you'll be amazed by their relationship and by what this dog can do.

Gene Guiraud needs a wheelchair to get around, so mobility is an issue for her in her everyday life. Gizmo is her incredible service dog who, as you'll see, helps her in every facet of her day-to-day activities. The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) defines service animals as dogs individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Any breed can be a service dog, but typically they're Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds and the like. Gizmo may be a small and stout Corgi, but she's mighty and capable, and committed to her important role in Gene's life.

From opening and shutting doors to fetching items for her at the grocery store, there's nothing Gizmo can't do. Of course, Gene is so grateful to have her as a loyal sidekick.
