Adopting a shelter dog – especially a high-risk or special needs dog – is one of the best things you can do. If you believe dogs have emotions the same way humans do, then just imagine what it would be like to live in a shelter situation. Besides, anyone who has ever adopted a dog can clearly see just how thankful they are to be in a new, safe home. And because every person is different, there is always going to be a dog you immediately take to – guaranteed!
In this video, Luna the pit bull mix is doing something many dogs get to do ever since they're pups. She's playing in a dog park for the first time. Even though she looks entirely too skinny in this video, she was in even worse shape when she was rescued – emaciated and barely able to walk, standing on the side of the road.
Through constant care, Luna was brought back to life, and soon became even healthier than she is in this video. The best part of the story? As soon as she was ready for it, she was immediately adopted by a new family!
