Think you know everything there is to know about dogs? Bite your tongue!
That pink and often slobbery muscle that flops from Fido’s mouth is pretty incredible—even more so than this playful pooch’s clever trick.
Sure, like a human, a dog’s tongue is able to sense tastes and indicate textures. But it also has the ability to help heal wounds, acts as a puppy radiator, and a lick to the face can easily be seen as the wet, canine cousin of a handshake.
Not to mention that sometimes a dog’s tongue has a mind of its own. And if a pup is bestowed with the wily Miley Cyrus gene, the combo of a big tongue with a free-spirited nature can be pretty entertaining … and adorable.
Here are a few dogs whose tongues have gone rouge, and if this post has caused you to open your mouth in a fit of laughter and expose your own tongue, please SHARE it with your friends!
"Come back here! Let me lick you!!"
"GLAR!"
"See! I told you I could curl my tongue."
"Gimme kissies."
"Excuse me? May I please taste your hand?"
"Blurp."
"PFFFFFT!"
*Insert doggy yawn*
"SAY AHHHHHH!"
"ICECWEAM."
"GNALARLRGGGLGLGYG" (Icomprehensible dog gurgling)
"YARLP!!!"
"Slurrrrrp."
"Blurp."
"Let it ALL hang out."
"Splaghetties!!"
