Massive 440-Pound Tortoise Celebrates His 50th Birthday By Destroying His Cake

After 50 years of a life, what better way to treat yourself than with something you love!

Cerro is a Galapagos tortoise, who weighs a mere 440 pounds, that lives at the Perth Zoo. Cerro just celebrated his 50th birthday!

Seeing as tortoises can live to be 150 years old, Cerro is basically just a teenager. Let's say, this was like celebrating his 18th birthday. To commemorate the moment, Cerro was serenaded by young visitors and presented with a massive cake made of tasty treats.

According to the Perth zookeepers, Cerro loves to eat. He is all about food and will follow them around all day, waiting to be given a treat or two.

It's no surprise then that they'd make sure his birthday cake is extra tasty! The 50th birthday cake consists of watermelon, kiwi, and pumpkin! It looks like he really loves the watermelon.

Cerro was born at the World famous San Diego Zoo and lived there for many years until he moved to the Perth Zoo in 2005. It looks like Cerro has gotten very comfortable in his new home these last 11 years.

If you enjoyed this happy tortoise dining on some yummy cake, you will love this tortoise sharing some lettuce with his best friend, a mini horse!

Don't forget to SHARE Cerro with all of your friends and family!
