Pets sometimes make the best babysitters, and surprisingly, even for fur babies different from their own species too.
When a playful kitten named Gavin met her new Samoyed brother Vidor, it made for an adorable YouTube video. As the little squirt heckled her much larger dog friend, Vidor appears patient and amused as he rolls around on the floor, letting Gavin paw playfully at his face. And in yet another, a massive Rottweiler lies down next to a teacup-sized newborn kitten and plays adorably with the little one.
We see a similar cross-species video of adorable fur babies below, where two Dalmatian pups, Louie and Lady, take on the role of babysitters to a tiny foster kitten named Uno. We first see this feisty newborn tucked between the arms of her dog friend before she decides it’s playtime. She jumps up and wraps her little paws around the mugs of the dog in front of her, and both move closer to play. The little kitty takes repeated swipes at the notably larger pups, but they remain unfazed with their tails wagging the whole time.
It’s incredible to watch how larger animals respond to tiny newborns. We’ve seen over and over that animals of all shapes and sizes love kittens just as much as we do.
