Unwanted Dog With Two Noses Finds Forever Home With Compassionate Owner

The popularity of "pretty" pets has led to some devastating trends in the animal world. For instance, the purchasing of dogs from breeders who often mistreat the pups' mom and dad have created generations of canines suffering from long-term health issues. It also leads to so many loving, sweet animals left without a chance for survival inside overcrowded shelters across the country. That's why so many advocates encourage those looking for a new fuzzy friend to adopt, not shop.

However, things become all that more difficult for animals that suffer from disabilities. Instead of being given the care they so desperately need, they are frequently passed over by someone seeking something more "perfect." Of course, we all have our own imperfections, so why should any precious animal suffer because of theirs? That's what happened when Toby was found wandering the streets of California. With what appears to be two noses, dog catchers intended to put the "ugly" dog down. Thankfully, someone more understanding came through to save the day.

Venice Beach resident Todd Ray is no stranger to, well, the strange side of life. As the owner of a "freakshow" found on the boardwalk, Ray has seen his share of unusual animals and people. In fact, he currently holds the Guinness World Record for owning the most two-faced animals. Clearly, Toby fits in perfectly at his new home! Ray describes his new buddy as "the sweetest dog on Earth," saying everyone who meets him instantly falls in love.
