Meet an adorable Yellow Lab with Megaesophagus, a condition where the esophagus becomes enlarged and can no longer push the food down to the stomach. In order to combat this disease, dog's (with a little help from Dad) must let gravity do all the work in order to aide in food digestion. This is where his "Bailey Chair" comes into play.
The chair, which is named after a dog that too suffered from the defect, works by having a dog sit upright, almost like a human, allowing the food and water to make it's way to the stomach. As you can see, this pup is more than happy to situate himself in the chair for about 20 to 30 minutes after eating to ensure proper digestion, if it means enjoying his yummy dinner! He's such a good boy in that chair! So patient, calm and excited!!
