Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Some of them–like Jack–even have four legs instead of two. When the Humane Society in Pennsylvania found Jack, he'd been thrown into a dumpster and left for dead. They had no clue that rescuing him wouldn't just save his life, it would save the life of a little girl, too.
Maya was born with a neurological disorder that affected her speech and left her susceptible to potentially fatal seizures. Her speech therapist recommended getting a dog for Maya to talk to, and that's when the family found Jack recovering at the shelter.
What happened next is truly incredible. It makes me so sad that anyone would leave a dog for dead, but I think this speaks volumes about a dog's ability to forgive people and continue to love. Please SHARE this story with friends!
