Vet Ranch has been responsible for some incredible stories of survival and rehabilitation. Thanks in part to the support of their YouTube viewers and donations to fund any needed operations, many animals who would have otherwise been euthanized have been rescued and paired with new forever home.
Rex is one such story. Found by Animal Control, 8-month-old Rex suffered a broken hind leg and a head injury and had been left by the side of the road. When he was taken in by Dr. Matt, he was completely unable to walk. After taking X-rays of the dog's broken femur, Dr. Matt opted for surgery in hopes that Rex's young age would help him heal and have a chance at a happy life. Two pins in Rex's knee would allow it to realign and enable him to walk like any other dog.
Four months later, Rex was standing on his leg and the muscle had mostly healed. He's doing so well, in fact, that he can now stand on his hind legs and sneakily open doors. By the end of the video, this playful pup can be seen running around and playing fetch. All of this thanks to the good folks at Vet Ranch.
