Many Would Euthanize Him, But God Had Other Plans For This Disabled Pit Bull

The bond between adopted pets and their heroic parents is truly something special. As I started watching this video of Alfie, my heart was ripped to pieces knowing the challenges he faced.

When he arrived at Best Friends Animal Society as a puppy, Alfie couldn't stand up. Blood tests revealed not one but two potentially lethal diseases: parvo and distemper. While many people would have turned to euthanasia, Alfie's path took a much different turn.

I'm incredibly grateful for organizations like Best Friends, and people like Haven, who give so much love and care to animals everywhere.

Alfie was abandoned in a nearby town and picked up by a good Samaritan. Right away it was clear he was going to need more medical help than the average caregiver could supply, and these are the heroes who knew just how to help.
