While out at dinner a few nights ago with my friend, I mentioned how much I love articles about hidden animals and optical illusions.
She immediately pulled up Twitter on her phone and showed me a woman's account that was full of pictures of her white cat, Pierogi.
At first, I didn't think it was anything special — just another young woman with a cat — but I was so wrong.
Within minutes, I realized that this little white cat is special. Pierogi absolutely loves hiding. And she's really good at it.
In almost every picture, Pierogi is hidden so well that it takes a while to figure out where she is. In some of the photos, it's even necessary to change the brightness on your phone or zoom in ridiculously close.
I immediately knew I had to write about Pierogi and her hiding skills, so here's the first installment of "Find Pierogi."
Check out the photo below and see if you can spot the little white cat.
On November 29, 2017, Grace Spelman tweeted this picture of her cat, Pierogi.
She wrote, "Tomorrow is trash day and the queen of trash, Pierogi, is hiding in protest."
Within just a few days, Grace's picture had almost 700 likes.
Immediately, people were fascinated by the picture. Nobody could figure out where the cat was hiding.
For the record, this is what Pierogi looks like.
She's little and white, with a bit of gray around her ears.
Take another look at the photograph. Do you see pierogi?
If you need a hint, Grace provided one below.
"This one's a toughie," Grace wrote.
"Hint/spoiler: might wanna turn up your brightness. this hint gives away her hiding place. I am SORRY."
So, turn up your brightness and see if you can find Pierogi now.
Need another hint?
Pierogi is hiding in the bottom half of the photograph.
If you still can't find Pierogi, that's OK. Most people have to look for a while before finding her.
"My god this took me forever," wrote one commenter.
In the photo below, Pierogi is circled, so if you're not ready for the answer, scroll back up!
Pierogi is really hard to see in this picture because she's hiding in the shadows.
Most of the photo is white, so it's easy to assume Pierogi is hidden among the white.
There's her little face!
This photo has been color-enhanced to brighten Pierogi's hiding spot.
