Cops Find Yorkie Abandoned On Doorstep, Then Vets Notice He’s ‘Filling Up Like A Water Balloon’

A tiny Yorkie is getting a second chance at life after he was found in bad shape and on the verge of death.

The pup was left just outside the door of the Hollywood Police Department in Florida. As soon as he was found, he was rushed to a vet. The poor animal couldn't move his head and was having trouble breathing.

Vets at the Glimmer of Life Small Dog Rescue suspected that the Yorkie had been hit by a car, so they quickly got to work to save his life. If he had been brought to a shelter, rescuers would have surely put him down, but vets were determined to save this little guy.

While they thought they knew what kind of injuries to expect, an x-ray proved that he was in worse shape than they thought: Hollywood was slowly swelling up like a water balloon. Kidney stones had caused his bladder to grow anywhere from 6 to 10 times its normal size.

Hollywood wasn't even able to go to the bathroom.

After an operation, the Yorkie was put on medication. He's now in recovery and is getting a second chance at life, thanks to the know-how and patience of these incredible humans!

Hollywood's rescuers know that he was left on the police department's doorstep for a reason, and that they were meant to save this little guy from a horrible fate!
