She Made Her Dream Of Living Tiny In A 175 Square Ft Home A Reality!

If you could build something with your own hands that could help you avoid ever making another mortgage payment again…would you?

Rowan Kunz liked to do things herself from a very early age. In an article in Hudson Valley Magazine, her mom recalls that Rowan liked to build things all herself as a little girl!!

But towers of blocks don't compare with the tiny construction project she began in 2012, which Rowan wrote about on her blog.

"I am currently constructing a 175 square foot home on wheels and have designed it to be completely off the grid. More than building a house, this undertaking is meant to alter the ways in which I live within my environment, within my community, within myself. I am attempting to find simplicity and to actively shape the world in which I live. The questions I am exploring are plentiful and ongoing… These items are the beginning of a process to question and explore ways in which acts of living can inform my art work and vise versa."

Should you be interested in the tiny house lifestyle we HIGHLY recommend visiting Rowan's Blog here, which she updates on a very regular basis. Her beautifully designed home and peppy attitude about a downsized life makes living mortgage free seem pretty appealing to me…how about you?

Rowan disliked traditional tiny home design, typically "railroad" style, so she opted to place her front door on the side and she came up with her own quirky interior design.
