Wounded Warrior Saves A Stranger’s Life, Then Finally Gets To Meet Him

Sometimes the toughest battle soldiers face is when they’ve returned home. And sometimes it’s the kindness of a total stranger that gets them through it.

Countless soldiers arrive home from deployment only to suffer another kind of battle. We lose too many soldiers to PTSD and its crippling effects on all aspects of life. In the video below, you'll meet James, who returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan a broken man. He was on the brink of taking his own life when he met a woman named Mary.

Mary, who also knows firsthand the impact of war, saw a Facebook post that said a war vet named James was in trouble. Not only is Mary a breast cancer survivor, but she lost both of her arms while fighting for our country. She didn't know James, but called him anyway. The two began a friendship that ultimately saved James' life. "We still have never met in person, but we tend to talk like we're old friends," Mary says in the tear-jerking video below. Little does Mary know, that's all about to change.

It's no wonder this video is brought to us by Kleenex, because trust me, you're gonna need them. Mary's friendship, and James' willingness to accept it, is remarkable. Please SHARE this video with your friends on Facebook!
