Meet Waldo, a beautiful, 5 year-old, 75-pound red pit bull. He loves toys, treats, and people and is eager to please. When Waldo was a puppy, he was picked up as a stray and brought to the League for Animal Protection of Huntington in Long Island, where he has lived for the past four years. Now he is about to lose his kennel space and needs your help finding a permanent home!
Animal control facilities, shelters, and rescues are overflowing with pit bulls. With a reputation for being aggressive, it is not an easy task to find homes for them. But pit bulls can be very loving and sweet, like this adopted pit bull who gently plays with a rescue kitten.
For his entire life, Waldo hasn't known what it is like to have a family to love him. The I Love Dogs Site is desperately trying to change that. They will donate a year of free dog food to whoever adopts Waldo.
Even though he is loving and well-behaved, they ask that his new guardian be an experienced dog owner with no other animals and no small children, due to his play style.
You can check out the Facebook page WheresWaldosFamily for more info. If, after reading his adoption specifics here, you feel yours would be a good home for Waldo, please call the League for Animal Protection at 631-757-9373 or email [email protected].
Every animal deserves a family. Please SHARE with all your friends on Facebook to help Waldo find his!
