Mom Finds Young Daughter’s Note To Santa Offering To Make Him A Gift Instead Of Receiving One

When I was a kid, I absolutely loved writing letters to Santa. I would usually just write them on Christmas Eve and leave them by the pile of cookies I put out.

Typically, I would ask Santa to bring me whatever presents I wanted, and if I was feeling really selfless, I would ask him to get the presents my brother wanted, too.

Sometimes, I would even leave him a Christmas ornament as a "thank you" for bringing us such great gifts.

I always believed I was being so thoughtful — until I read this 8-year-old's letter to Santa.

Nadia may be young, but she already cares more about other people's needs than her own. The sweet girl sat down to write a letter to Santa this year, but realized she didn't need anything for Christmas.

Instead, she offered to make St. Nick a present. Read her adorable letter below!

When Nadia's mom, Diana, saw what she had written in her letter to Santa, she knew she had to share it online.

She sent it to the Facebook page Love What Matters, and it got a ton of attention. Within just four days, the post had over 43,000 reactions and almost 5,000 shares.

Diana wrote:

My 8-year-old daughter left this note for our Elf, Twinkle, to take to Santa. When I found it, my heart melted, and I cried.

Our favorite holiday is Christmas, and I’ve always tried to instill the true spirit of Christmas into each of my daughters. Christmas is about love, happiness and, overall, family.

There are times that we doubt ourselves as parents.

There are times that we wonder if we’re doing a good enough job raising good people.

She has learned that family is everything and love is more important than gifts under a tree. She has learned the spirit of giving.

So, relax, Santa! Enjoy your moment to be pampered. This Christmas, we’re giving back!

Nadia's letter read as follows:

Dear Santa Clause,

Scince you've been giving us presants every year this year I ask for nothing.

I have toys, a home, family, and love, so this year I want to make you something.

Tell me what you want this year and I'll make it.

Love, Nadia

It's easy to see why Nadia's mom was moved to tears!

Other parents started sharing their own "letter to Santa" stories, and they were just as heartwarming.

One mom wrote: "That's so sweet! In our house we always leave a few things for Santa to take with him for those less fortunate. Usually warm gloves and hats, a scarf or a new toy. Santa always eats our cookies and makes sure someone who needs something receives it."
