911 Dispatcher Personally Responds To An Elderly Woman’s Call To Take Out Her Trash

We've all been in a position where we've needed help, but weren't sure how to go about asking for it. Whether you're embarrassed or just don't know who to go to, it can be difficult to figure out how to act in the best way.

And no matter the situation, it always feels like the absolute last resort to call 911. But sometimes, it's the only way to handle the situation.

There are a lot of very obvious situations that clearly require a 911 call or text, but it's the less extreme events that beg the question of whether it's appropriate or not.

Take this 2-year-old South Carolina girl as an example. She decided to call 911 one day when she was having trouble getting herself dressed. The dispatcher hilariously answered the call and showed up at the adorable little girl's house.

When 86-year-old Francis Royer picked up the phone and dialed 911, she had a unique request as well.

Royer, who is handicapped and alone, had no one to help bring her overfilled trash can to the curb.

911 Dispatcher Katherine Grady answered Royer's call and decided to go above and beyond for the elderly woman.

The next day, Grady showed up to Royer's house and personally dragged her bins to the street. Grady hoped it would remind Royer of a different time, when people were kind to each other.
