Jevon and Julie spent 10 years trying to get pregnant. The couple met when they were barely in their twenties and were married two years later.
They were a match made in heaven. Right away, they knew they wanted to start a family.
But their attempts were unsuccessful until Mother's Day 2016, when Julie found out she was pregnant.
The husband and wife — who both work at the Whiteman Air Force Base — were over the moon. This was what they had been praying for, and they could barely believe how blessed they were.
Six months into the pregnancy, a teenage driver fell asleep at the wheel and collided with their car head on, injuring them.
Jevon's femur was broken in several places. One ankle was left in pieces.
Julie felt a warm liquid gushing from her body and thought it was blood. She was wrong.
The impact had caused her water to break.
They stayed side-by-side in the hospital until Julie was carried away to give birth. She delivered a one-pound baby girl the couple named Juliana.
Three months premature, Juliana faced an uphill battle, and the parents prayed some more. Today, the little girl is a few months older and a happy, healthy baby!
Jevon and Julie couldn't be more grateful for their little baby girl.
