She’s Been A Backup Singer For 20 Years, So When THIS Happens? AMAZING Moment

Always a backup singer, never the one center stage, in the spotlight.

That's how Alison Jiear has spent her career so far. However, in this next video Jiear proves once again that when it comes to reality talent shows, anything is possible.

The 50-year-old singer from Australia is a popular cabaret and musical theatre performer in London, but up until her recent Britain's Got Talent audition, she hasn't been front-and-center in a concert.

Jiear knows she has the real, raw kind of talent that judges appreciate, but in order to win them over, she knew she had to really stand out. For her audition, Jiear chose the lesser-known song "You'll Never Walk Alone" from the musical Carousel. As we've seen so many times before, sometimes taking a risk like this brave boy did can make all the difference. Jiear was so casual before her jaw-dropping performance you would have never guessed how much talent she is hiding.

When I first heard Jiear's story, I was reminded of another Britain's Got Talent breakout star: a shy, quiet woman who kept to herself most of her life, until one day she tried out for the show. The rest, as they say, was history for the now world-famous singer, Susan Boyle.
