Powerful Commercial Shows Girls Smashing The Boxes Bullies Have Put Them In

What these little girls are told about themselves sounds unbelievable. Who would dare tell anyone, any child, that they cannot do exactly what they dream of doing?

Unfortunately, the answer is too many people and too often. Always asks real young girls if they've ever been told they couldn't do something because they were a girl.

The idea of women being less capable than men seems outdated but sadly, it still exists in our culture. Just recently, a 9-year-old girl called out her local library for only allowing boys into their robotics class.

Each girl in this video has experienced similar treatment and it's never any less heartbreaking.

When asked if they felt like people placed limitations on them because they were female, every girl answers yes. It's shocking when we consider how young these girls are.

The video states that 72% of girls in the U.S. feel that society limits them.

"I quit trumpet. I quit basketball. I quit wrestling," one girl says, all because of the way others made her feel.

Each girl writes what bullies have told them about being a girl onto a box. Then they literally smash all of the terrible words they've been told. It is so powerful.

With nearly 3 million views, it's clear that this video's message resonates with a lot of people.
