André Rieu is a world-renowned Dutch violinist, composer and conductor of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, but he is also known for taking chances on the stage and surprising his audience.
Johann Strauss Orchestra performances are always a much sought-after ticket… and for very good reason. Classical talent like their's is not as easily found as it once was. Guests at a show in Amsterdam saw this first hand, when they received a huge surprised toward the end of the show.
While you may not associate bagpipes with classical music, the surprise performance of "Scotland The Brave" on the pipes and drums was a huge treat. From the moment I heard the bagpipes start in, until Rieu started in with "Amazing Grace", I had chills rolling through my body!
What an unbelievably beautiful and emotional performance!
