A 13-year-old dachshund was left at an animal shelter in Baldwin Park, CA with a note asking the shelter to put him to sleep because he was sick, and his elderly owners couldn’t care for him anymore. But rescuers went against the owners’ wishes. After finding out what happened, the owners of Otto Wolfgang Maximus (the pup’s actual name) asked to be reunited with the dog they left for dead.
