Men and women who serve in the military take their jobs seriously. They know their duties might be difficult at times, and that it can mean being separated from family and friends longer than they'd like, but they still treat their positions with honor and respect.
Of course, that doesn't mean they can't also enjoy cutting loose every once and awhile! They may wear a uniform, but they're still just regular people like the rest of us. I love seeing moments like the group of Marines enjoying an in-flight pillow fight on their way home after months on the job. We expect them to be so serious all the time, but it's simply not the case.
With all the rigid rules they have to follow, it's good to know our troops can still keep their sense of humor handy. Even while they're based overseas, there's nothing saying they can't have some fun on their downtime.
This young army soldier looks like he's about to run some physical readiness training drills with his CO, but the "alternating calf rise" exercise doesn't go exactly like it would out on the field with his cohorts.
Instead of simply lifting his legs up and down, the playful serviceman gives it an extra dash of fun by turning it into a hilarious dance! He does his best to keep his face stoic as he chants his responses to his buddy filming, but you can definitely see a smile or two break through.
