They say, ‘when you know, you know’. And that is exactly what army vet, Luciano Yulfo, thought when he saw the beautiful blonde of his dreams at the Knicks’ game halftime.
As he stood in the center of the court while the announcer started to honor him for his service, the voice continued with a line Yulfo wasn’t expecting.
In disbelief, he turned around as if he were expecting a video crew to run out and tell him he’s being pranked.
When he turned back around, he saw the new love of his life – an adorable, fluffy 10-month old golden retriever, Murphy.
Yulfo was finally receiving the service dog he had been waiting the past 18 months for.
The vet, who spent the last 36 years of his life serving this country, was wounded in 2014 during his tour in Afghanistan, leaving him dependent on a cane and suffering from PTSD.
Over the past six months, Murphy was being trained by retired veteran, Charlie Jackson, who is a canine handler at Paws of War.
Now he’ll be by Yulfo’s side, helping him regain his balance if he trips and picking up his cane if it falls.
Love may be blind, but it’s clear this pair was a match made in heaven the instant they met. Be sure to share this video and show your support for our veterans.
